Complementary ICs
Royal Philips Electronics has manufactured limited numbers of chips designed specifically to drive and interface with some of our sensors, including clock drivers, pulse generators, DC-DC converters, and A-D converters.
- TDA9991HL
- Provides eight two-(or three-) level low-ohmic line drivers for FT and FF CCD image sensors.
- Versatile programmable DC-DC converters and voltage regulators create all required low-noise supply voltages for DALSA image sensors.

- Generates all pulses for FT and FF image sensors up to 8K x 8K
- 4 image clocks, 4 storage clocks, TG, CR
- Line and frame synchronization signals
- 9 programmable HF-output with 1/24 clock-period accuracy (C-clocks, RG, SG, CDS pulses, ADC pulse)
- I2C control

In addition to the chipset, a simple microcontroller is used in the reference design on the chipset board. This microcontroller handles the tasks of power management and system configuration, making high start-up speeds possible. LabVIEW-based software is used to control the kit via a RS232 cable.
